My flight has been delayed/canceled. Can I be eligible for compensation?

In case you have a delay of more than 3 hours when you are reaching your destination, you are entitled to get compensation from €250 to €600 depending on the length of your flights based on the European Framework protecting passenger’s rights numbered 261/2004.

The only exceptions are the following extraordinary circumstances:

  • Extreme weather conditions

  • Strikes

  • risk of act of terrorism

If the delay is more than 2 hours, you are entitled to additional support from the airline:

  • free phone calls

  • free refreshments

  • free meals

  • free accommodation

  • free transfer to accommodation

I have already submitted a claim to the airline, and they rejected it. Can FairFlights help?

This is a normal situation, since airlines hardly ever agree to pay compensation. Our experience with airlines can help you to get compensation before court. If the airline still refuses to pay, we may involve third parties to prepare for court procedure to ensure successful resolution of the case.

How can FairFlights help me?

  • Detailed analysis of all the circumstances of the case with the use of our knowledge and experience

  • Drafting all the necessary documents and sending them to the parties

  • Negotiations with the airline

  •

If necessary (we will involve our partners and take all the costs and risks):

  • Preparation for court

  • Court procedure

You are always aware of your application status via your personal profile and our notifications.

What if the airline refuses to pay compensation?

If the airline refuses to pay compensation for your disrupted flights, we will review all of your flight-related materials and all available information, if necessary, seek legal action.

Can I get compensation due to denied boarding because of overbooking? What are my other rights?

Some of the airlines will issue your compensation on the spot but in case they did not do that FairFlights will be happy to help you with handling your compensation.

In case of a denied boarding your rights are the following:

  • Receive compensation under the regulation of (EC) No. 261/2004

  • Recover the full price of the ticket within 7 days from the date of the incident

  • Get a ticket on the next plane to your final destination, under similar terms

  • Select a later flight under similar conditions.

What will it cost to get the compensation?

We provide you with all necessary services and help for free. We charge only a success fee which is one of the cheapest available.

Our fee is deducted from the compensation we win for you, so you’ve got nothing to lose. Our standard fee is 25%, or 50% if your case goes to court.

How long does it take to get compensation?

We try to get you your compensation as soon as possible and we will contact the airline within 24 hours from your claim submission with us.

However, some airlines respond in 2-3 days, some others - in some weeks. On average we ensure pre-court acceptance within the first 4 weeks after claim submission. If a court process is involved, the duration can reach up to 12-16 weeks.

What if my flight disruption happened long ago?

If your flight was delayed or canceled, or you were denied boarding within the last 2-6 years (depending on the operating airline and your route), you are entitled to compensation and can submit an application to FairFlights.

What do I need to provide to apply for compensation?

All of the required information will be collected during your claim submission with us. These include your signed consent and information about you and your flight.

How will I get my money for the compensated flight?

Your funds will be sent by bank transfer. We will request your bank account details when the airline agrees to send your compensation.

In what currency will I receive my money?

The funds will be transferred in your preferred currency to the bank account provided. If you wish to receive compensation in a currency other than the euro, a currency conversion fee may be applied by your bank.

Is there any fee if the airline rejects my flight compensation claim?

Nothing, FairFlights will not charge you any amount if it turns out that you are not entitled to compensation.

Why opt for a claim firm instead of claiming directly from the airlines?

FairFlights works on a ‘No win No fee’ base, thus you are at no risk of losing money even if legal action is required. We take away the hassle, work and follow up of the claiming process. Also we will guide you through the entire process.

Whereas, if you approach the airlines directly, you may have to bear a lawyer fee and lose money if the case is not in your favor. You may have to follow up with the airlines and have to spend your valuable time
